OneWORLD English School is offering a work-study program
for Japanese university students who are studying computer
science and or marketing. The program will last for
one year and is open to 3rd and 4th year university
students who are members of university computer science
or marketing departments in the Tokyo area.
Students will attend private or semi-private English
Conversation lessons twice a week, either Tuesday-Thursday
or Wednesday-Friday for one hour each day at no charge,
a 750,000 Yen value. In turn, students will work for
the computer design and marketing departments four hours
a week.
Job duties will include web design and updating, keitai
web design and updating, software design and programming
and Internet research and marketing. Acceptable candidates
should have an intermediate level of English ability,
excellent computer skills as well as a good knowledge
of HTML, XHTML, PEARL computer languages or marketing
skills. Students who have knowledge of the PHP computer
language are especially wanted.
Students
who complete a one-year work-study term will also receive
150,000 Yen in cash as a bonus. OneWORLD English School
will also assist students who complete the work-study
program with job placement opportunities with major
companies, foreign and domestic, seeking computer science
graduates. In addition, full-time job offers at OneWORLD
English School will be extended to graduating students
who excel in English ability, computer skills and marketing
success.
