The Insanity of Mankind

It is unfortunate that in this modern world in which we live in today, the only thing our leaders continue to do is the age-old activity of warring with each other. It's ridiculously unbelievable that we humans still have not learned how to live in peace, but then again it's only been 25,000-30,000 years since the first of us primates started killing one another. It is still the same old game of cat and mouse that our forefathers and the kings of old played since the dawn of humanity. Who can cheat and steal the most from their neighbor? As a reference, I'll just ask you to study a little World History to understand what I'm talking about. When are we going to grow up? The question I'd like to pose to you is do any of the current world governments need to have the destructive power that they have today?

It was determined years ago with the conception of democracy during the time of Pericles in ancient Greece that one man didn't need such power. In that time, any free man could voice his concerns call for a referendum and the governing masses, the people of Athens, would vote democratically to reach a consensus. However, before and after that time in history, the kings of the earth ruled only by the power of war without democracy and as tyrants or dictators. Today what democracy we do have is diluted and the majority of citizens are being enslaved. Therefore, I would like you to consider what is it that can really make a group of men and women, who call themselves public servants, provide us, the people, with a government claiming to have a checks and balances system, when the only real agenda they have is the same as it used to be during the middle ages, to pad their own pockets with more land and more money from taxation while rendering us as little representation as possible. Government is supposed to serve the people, however, this is simply not true in any country throughout the world today.

When are we, the people, going to wake up and realize that all of the governments of the world are formulated only to serve the members who hold positions within it, and not the citizens who support them? We have been foolish to support this kind of government and even more indignantly, we have been the ones who have been duped into believing that the politicians are there for our best interests and to serve us. The truth is, they only serve themselves. Here we sit, doing nothing, at the brink of nuclear world war, allowing a self-righteous power hungry mad isolationist to dictate the rules of war and peace to the rest of us, while our own corrupt government leaders plot and make a ploy for the riches that they will gain when the 30-year winters subside. They all have safe havens to retreat to. What about the rest of us, the salaried men and women, the mothers who take care of our children and manage the house hold, which by the way is the most important job of all, and the ones of us who are just trying to survive the modern day slavery in which the governments have thrust upon us and which we face every-single-day of our lives? Where will we go, what will we do, when nuclear obliteration brought about by these mindless egos who lust only for power, when our homes and families comes to pass? Shall we just sit by and perish?

What a horrible thing it is when two or more armies come together to wage war with one another. However, as crazy as it sounds this is semi understandable, because both armies have been trained in the tactics of war and are or should be prepared for battle. In days of old, they would meet in an open field away from civilization to carryout their heinous acts. However, to drop or plant a nuclear device, a weapon of mass destruction, on innocent civilians, just us ordinary everyday people, to destroy our homes, businesses, places of worship, schools, and our lives themselves is TOTAL and ABSOLUTE INSANITY to say the least. Didn't we learn anything from the results of both holocausts in Japan and Europe after World War II? How much longer are we going to tolerate this nonsense?

As we all know, the passage of time reveals all truths. And only these truths can be self-evident. In general, the media has usually been a great source of information and has expedited the process of delivering news. They have brought forth information from around the world for the benefit of us all. However, they are not our voice; they are only the voice of information. I give credit and trust that the best journalist seek only the truth and want to report the news as just that, the truth. However, it is time for us to rise up and take back the control of our own destinies. It's time for all nations to disarm any form of aggressive weaponry! It's time for the leaders of all nations to put aside their arrogant egos, greediness and self-centeredness. It's time for the peoples of all nations to extend the hand of peace to one another.

We can simply do this through first opening our hearts to one another, embracing the idea of respect for one another and understanding that we all have a right to be here. We must come to a simple and common understanding of what basic human rights are and that these are the only truths that are self-evident. Once that is accomplished, we must continue to educate our children in this same manner. Furthermore, we must teach them not to hate or ever terrorize anyone for any reason. Most importantly, we must teach them what our basic human rights are: food, clothing, housing, healthcare and education, that all people deserve to freely have these and that they are the most important things in which we live for on this earth; and that these are even more important than our government, our leaders, religion, money, and even life itself. As a matter of fact, this is the true reason that governments should even exist, to provide us with our basic human rights at the lowest of costs, in order that everyone can afford to possess each of them.

Without love and respect for one another along with peace and freedom we have nothing. After all these thousands of years that humankind has lived on this earth it's finally time to discover the truth, to get our priorities in order, and to understand what is honestly important for the future of our children.
