Chapter 1
What are Positive Mental Attitude and the Law of Attraction
and who created them? To understand them more completely,
we must first come to the realization that the great
minds of the famous men in history who discovered these
truths, did not invent these laws of nature that I'm
going to refer to in this book. If anyone at all created
these laws, lets give the credit to God or if you prefer,
the God of your choice. I might even be willing to also
say the entity in which you believe to be true or supreme,
what ever that might be. I haven't written this book
to persuade, debate, condemn or make any suggestions
one way or another about religion or religious beliefs;
that's each person's individual choice. However, I truly
believe that being spiritual and having a deeper understanding
of or even a personal relationship with a greater power
other than ones self is admirable to say the least.
In fact, I also believe it to be just as important for
each of us to search within our own minds and souls
to find inner peace, and harmony within nature that
exhibits dignity and respect for all living creatures
that share the planet with us.
In any case, I'd like to say that I've written this
book rather as a proclamation of what I have discovered
to be true in life for all of us; and how these truths
have changed my life in unbelievably wonderful ways.
Furthermore, it's my desire to help readers understand
that each and every one of us individually, possess
the power within our own being to achieve any goal or
any target that we might set, no matter how big or how
complicated it might seem. Whenever positive thinking
and the law of attraction becomes a truth in your life
and whenever it is put into action on a daily basis,
you are going to be amazed beyond your wildest imagination
at how your life is going to change.
To introduce Positive Mental Attitude and the natural
Law of Attraction, it might have been best described
from a famous quote by 17th century, French philosopher,
Rene' Descartes regarding his explanation of why everything
exists or happens in the universe, in which he states,
"I think, therefore I am." I remember studying
this quote from my undergraduate years of college being
debated in Philosophy 101. It was existential of, "Which
came first, the chicken or the egg?" His statement
I can grasp, but the question, well...your guess is
as good as any.
Anyway, after a much more in-depth study of the L.O.A.,
I have come to find that Descartes statement to be an
absolute truth, rooted from the laws of nature, or what
we understand to be physics, and what is currently referred
to as the law of attraction. Let's consider the following
statements for a moment: I think I am happy, therefore
I am happy; I think I am sad, therefore I am sad. I
alone am in control of my own thoughts and emotions.
No one else can control them except for me. In addition,
I certainly cannot control anyone else's thoughts or
emotions either. I don't even want to try. Before personally
discovering the power of positive thinking it was hard
enough for me just to keep myself in check, much less
to try and control anyone else. As you read further,
you too will discover that taking control over your
life and making positive things happen for yourself
can be achieved by following these simple principles
of truth, P.M.A. and the law of attraction.
